Denver, Colorado: The Complete Cannabis Scene Guide

Denver, Colorado occupies a singular position in cannabis history. On January 1, 2014, the city became the first place in the world where recreational cannabis sales were legally transacted. More than a decade later, Denver has the most developed cannabis tourism infrastructure of any city on earth.

The Neighbourhoods: Where to Go in Denver

RiNo Art District (River North): The most consistently recommended area for cannabis tourists. Street murals, craft breweries, independent restaurants and several of Denver's best dispensaries in a walkable setting.

The Highlands: Northwest of downtown — residential, slightly quieter than RiNo, with excellent independent dispensaries and a relaxed neighbourhood feel.

16th Street Mall area (Downtown): Main pedestrian corridor. Euflora operates here — one of Denver's most tourist-oriented dispensaries.

Glendale / South Denver: Several large-format dispensaries with more inventory and easier parking than downtown locations.
